Rob Stevenhagen

BIOGRAPHY

Born in The Netherlands, Rob moved to England to work as a character animator for Disney and Amblin Entertainment. For five years he was a company director of the animation studio Stardust Pictures Ltd. in London, handling outsourced feature sequences for major motion picture studios such as Dreamworks and Warner Bros’. Subsequently he has been working on various feature films as a director, head of story, animation director, animator and storyboard artist and has a wide experience in the fields of CG, 3D model and 2D animation.

Rob’s film credits include Tim Burton’s Oscar® and BAFTA nominated FRANKENWEENIE, as a head of story, Academy Award®-winning WALLACE & GROMIT IN THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT, as a senior storyboard artist, Oscar® and BAFTA winning short THE BOY, THE MOLE, THE FOX AND THE HORSE, as a storyboard artist, Oscar®-nominated stop-frame animated short THE PERIWIG-MAKER as an additional character designer and the Academy Award®-winning WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT as an animator.

He was a director on the CG-animated feature film THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX and was nominated for two Annie Awards in the categories Best Directing and Best Storyboarding in an Animated Feature Production.
